CCC has launched a new division. Westheimer Real Estate (WRE) will focus on on land for development and the company’s commercial spaces for lease. Previously, all sales, development, space for lease and construction service fell under the Cincinnati Commercial Contracting umbrella. John Westheimer, CCC Founder and current President, will head up WRE.

Jason Manni and Justin Platt, both currently vice presidents with CCC, will own and oversee the commercial construction operations for CCC. While Westheimer will still have some involvement with CCC, his primary duties with shift to WRE.

This has been a multi year succession plan for all three CCC principals.

“It’s a positive, incremental change,” said Westheimer. “The time is right now. Jason and Justin have the chance to really grow and prosper, and do what they do really, really well.”

CCC is building the Westheimer Real Estate’s office in Monroe now, with an anticipated opening of that office in January 2024.

Renovation Completed

CCC’s Renovation group recently completed remodeling three classroom at the Cincinnati Classical Academy.

The project included the selective demolition of interior finishes – that is demolition with a lighter touch and finesse, critical for maintaining some finishes while replacing others. We also saw-cut through the exterior brick face of the building so seven new windows could be installed, bringing in much needed light. New flooring, new ceiling tiles and paint in some areas finished the job.

Remodeling, renovating or retrofitting an existing business while keeping the doors open to customers can be tricky. Our team understands that you need little disruption to business as possible.

CCC Builds Indoor Farming Facility In Kentucky

Building industrial facilities that include advanced technology systems is nothing new for Cincinnati Commercial Contracting. Square Roots is a tech leader in indoor farming, and building their facility was a first of it’s kind experience for CCC. The Shepardsville, KY building is a climate-controlled indoor farm using a recirculating hydroponic system that uses far less water and requires less land than traditional farming. Plus it provides year ’round locally grown, fresh produce to its customers.

Square Roots has partnered with Gordon Food Service to build indoor farms, co-located at Gordon Food Services distribution centers. This facility can produce over 3 million packages of herbs and leafy greens annually. It’s exciting to partner with innovative organizations that are bringing great products to market.

Groundbreaking For Aircraft Mechanic School

CCC Building New Flight Academy

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will be home to a new aircraft mechanic school starting in 2024. The Cincinnati Commercial Contracting team is proud to be the commercial construction company selected for this project.

As reported on Fox19 News, Epic Flight Academy partnered with FEAM Aero to break ground Monday at CVG for a facility that can house as many as 300 students and staff, according to CVG.

“This area, the need is just unbelievable,” said Epic Flight Academy COO Josh Rawlins. “From when we first came up here, we were blown away with the airport and just the demand for mechanics. It was far greater than we could ever imagine”

CVG backed up Rawlins’ comment about the high demand for aircraft mechanic positions in the Tri-State, but the industry as a whole is experiencing a shortage, according to an Aviation Technician Education Council report.

The aircraft mechanic school groundbreaking we held Monday, April 17, 2023 and the school is expected to be completed by early 2024. See the full report here.
